We gather and eat free food and pretend to like each other. No one laughs. They are called the Graduate Reading Series, which is funny, since the Graduate students are the only ones who know about it. Even the faculty does not come. But it's funny in the way that you can't laugh about it. It all happens in a vacuum, much like the content of a lot of MFA writing. I'm reading tonight.
